You Gotta Sin To Get Saved

I’ve spoken here before about how I believe that when Maria McKee was at her best she had one of the most emotional voices around and in Lone Justice’s first album one of the best of 1985 if not the 80s.

Here is a belter of a track from her second solo album which I also think was her last consistently good album.

I thought Late December had some good consistency to it. Peddlin' Dreams, not so much.

My Aunt worked for her record company and they were pretty frustrated that McKee could not break through. “We can't get her arrested,” She told me.

I've written frequently about her, she's a great overlooked talent.

What a talent. One of the greatest female vocalists of all time. Great track that showcases her wonderful voice. Would have to agree about that first Lone Justice album. One of my fave Whistle Test moments is Lone Justice doing Sweet Sweet Baby. Could never get why Maria Mckee has never achieved the success she deserves.

Did all Maria's fans of a certain age see that Whistle Test performance? Was a fantastic performance.

I love Maria, funnily enough my favourite stuff is now the art rocky late 90s period. I just love the sound of it, that molten guitar and her voice work together really well.
