It’s Friday . . . Let’s Dance

No words that I could write could adequately convey the sheer brilliance of today’s track, so I’m not going to bother.

Released in 1993 on the Boys Own label, I don’t think that anything else released by Underworld ever came close to Rez.

Have a good weekend people.

Did you ever dance in a field at sunrise like that? It looks like fun.

Off up to Notting Hill today. Might pop in The Uxbridge for a lunchtime pint.

One of my favourite clubbing memories is of being in The Room in Hull around the time “Rez” came out. We got in early and there were a few of us having a quick pint at the bar waiting for people to start dancing, as you do. The warm-up DJ started playing something that I distinctly remember saying to my mate “sounds like one of those German acid records” and as it continued we both looked at each other with a smile on our face and nodded towards the dance floor. Within about 30 seconds the dance floor was packed as everyone cottoned on to the madness that was “Rez”…. ah, the memories…

Yes the D&V can be nasty but I'm glad you are through the worst.

The Uxbridge was lovely, I sat outside in fab sun, supping.
